One of the latest crimes involved the theft of a phone and 200,000 soms from a car.
In Bishkek, suspects in a series of car thefts, exceeding ten cases, have been arrested. This information was provided by the Main Department of Internal Affairs.
A resident of the Pervomaisky district, M.T., filed a report with the local police department. He stated that on March 14, 2026, at approximately 1:00 PM, while near a store in the residential area of "Kölmö," he became a victim of theft. Unknown individuals, taking advantage of his absence from his "Honda Accord" vehicle, secretly stole a mobile phone of the model "Samsung A17" and 200,000 soms, after which they fled in a "Hyundai Sonata."
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational actions by the staff of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Department of Internal Affairs, the suspects were detained, among whom were previously convicted individuals: B.K. (born in 2000), N.R. (1996), and E.A. (1991). All of them have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs.
Additionally, a citizen identified as N.S. was found to be involved in the purchase of stolen mobile phones at one of the shopping centers. Nine mobile phones of various models, presumably acquired through criminal means, were seized from him.
The investigation established that the criminals moved around the city in a rented car, selecting potential targets for their thefts. They operated by discovering unlocked cars and committing thefts.
