A road traffic accident involving pedestrians occurred in Naryn, as reported by the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Naryn region. The incident was recorded on March 29 at around 18:50.

According to law enforcement agencies, a Mitsubishi Lancer vehicle hit two residents of Naryn while they were crossing Sheraliyev Street, opposite the "Bishkek Petroleum" gas station. The car was moving from east to west.

The victims were a 53-year-old man named K.S. and his 49-year-old wife G.A. They were urgently hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Naryn regional hospital.

The driver of the vehicle was 20-year-old N.D., who is also a resident of Naryn. He underwent a medical examination in the narcological department, but no alcohol was found in his blood.

According to the driver, he was trying to overtake a stationary Kia vehicle, veered into the oncoming lane, and lost control, which led to the collision with the pedestrians.

A forensic medical examination has been appointed to determine the severity of the victims' injuries. It is also noted that since the driver serves in the Border Guard Service, the case materials have been sent to the military prosecutor's office of the Balykchy garrison.
