The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic presented the experience of implementing the API/PNR system to the OSCE.

The delegation of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of the Kyrgyz Republic participated from November 5 to 7 in the ninth OSCE seminar on passenger data and the fifth meeting of the informal working group of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, held in the Austrian capital, Vienna.

According to information provided by the state committee, more than 180 representatives from 57 OSCE participating countries took part in the events, organized jointly with the UN Counter-Terrorism Office.

During the seminar and meeting, over 40 presentations and reports were made regarding the use of biometric recognition systems to identify members of international criminal groups and citizens.

As part of the work of the group from 18 countries, the GKNB delegation, representing Kyrgyzstan as vice-chair, shared its experience in implementing the API/PNR system, emphasizing measures to prevent the movement of foreign terrorist fighters and cooperation with Interpol.

Additionally, on November 6, with the support of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Austria, a meeting was held with the Deputy Minister of Finance of Austria, Andreas Reichhardt, where issues related to combating the financing of terrorism and money laundering were discussed, as well as joint initiatives to reduce financial risks and ensure the protection of financial flows.

A working meeting also took place between representatives of the GKNB and Austrian companies, where innovative solutions in the field of cybersecurity were presented and prospects for cooperation in the protection of critical infrastructure were discussed. As a result of the meeting, it was planned that Austrian companies would visit Kyrgyzstan on November 24-25, 2025.
