The government of Kyrgyzstan has published a draft amendment to the regulatory act concerning the circulation of veterinary medications for public discussion.

According to the new proposed rules, the sale of prescription drugs will only be possible with a prescription from a veterinary specialist.

In addition, it is planned to introduce a ban on the preventive use of chemotherapeutic antibacterial veterinary drugs, as well as on their use for the purpose of increasing the productivity of agricultural animals.
