Significant changes are taking place in Kyrgyzstan in the field of digital medical services. Automated medical certificates, electronic prescriptions, and a centralized patient database are gradually being implemented. The Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies, Azamat Jamangulov, revealed details of these innovations at the round table "Healthy Heart," explaining how new technologies facilitate access to medical services and what opportunities will arise in the "Tunduk" application.

According to the minister, digitization in the healthcare sector has been gaining momentum in recent months.

- We have transferred the digitization process from the Ministry of Health to the LLC "Tunduk." The entire team of IT specialists from the Ministry of Health now works there, and we are focused on the social block, - he explained.

One of the most anticipated innovations has been the automated medical certificates, available without the need to visit medical institutions.

- A new service has appeared in the "Tunduk" mobile application – the automated certificate 083, as well as certificates from narcological and psychoneurological dispensaries, - the minister added.

He noted that previously obtaining such documents took a lot of time, requiring visits to several organizations and waiting in lines.

Now, the information is generated automatically and displayed in the application. However, to obtain certificate 083, citizens still need to undergo a medical examination.

- If the certificate does not appear in the application after the examination, it means that one of the doctors has given a negative conclusion. In that case, it is necessary to find out the reasons. If all conclusions are positive, the document will automatically appear in "Tunduk," - Jamangulov explained.

The minister emphasized that the department is actively working on social services, and one of the key projects will be the implementation of the electronic prescription.

- Currently, we are developing a service that will allow doctors not to write prescriptions on paper – all data will be stored in a single database, and citizens will be able to see their prescriptions in the application, - he said.

Another important task is to ensure the transparency of the system for subsidized medications, of which many citizens are even unaware.

- We strive for the application to automatically inform whether a person is entitled to benefits: whether they are a pensioner, belong to a certain category of diseases, or have the opportunity to receive free medications. Unfortunately, many do not know that they can receive medications for free or at a discount, - the minister emphasized.

The electronic prescription will become part of a unified digital medical history for the patient.

- All prescriptions will be recorded in the database. When a person visits another hospital, the doctor will be able to see what medications have already been prescribed and what treatment the patient has undergone previously. This will be a complete medical history, - Jamangulov confirmed.

He also added that other digital services are being developed, and the population will be informed as they are implemented.

- We are actively working on this. We have many new services planned, and as they are launched, we will inform the population, - the minister concluded.
