The main goal of the document is to improve the quality of training for medical specialists and to amend the cabinet resolution No. 590 dated September 27, 2024.
According to the new rules, foreign students studying at foreign universities will be prohibited from transferring to medical programs in Kyrgyzstan. Admission to medical universities will only be available to applicants starting their studies from the first year according to the established educational program.
Additionally, the draft includes restrictions at all levels of education:
- foreign students will not be allowed to transfer to medical specialties;
- partially completed medical programs obtained abroad will not be recognized.
It is also proposed to repeal cabinet resolution No. 476 dated August 30, 2022, which previously regulated the conditions for transferring students from countries in a state of emergency to universities in Kyrgyzstan.
