Due to the New Year celebrations, the border crossing points will suspend operations
According to the Border Service, the road checkpoints 'Torugart' and 'Irkeshtam' on the border of Kyrgyzstan and China will be temporarily closed.
The closure of both checkpoints is scheduled for January 1, 2026. The resumption of the passage of citizens, vehicles, and cargo will occur in stages. Specifically, the 'Irkeshtam-road' checkpoint will reopen at 10:00 PM on January 1, while the 'Torugart-road' checkpoint will reopen at 8:00 AM on January 2, 2026.
The Border Service urges citizens and businesspeople to take this information into account when planning to cross the border.
