According to the city administration, specific routes and the order of construction of tram infrastructure will be determined in the next stages of design. These issues will also be addressed during the development of the feasibility study for the construction of new tram lines.
The city authorities emphasize that the tram will become an important element of the public transport system, helping to relieve the street network of the capital.
The master plan includes the organization of tram lines on a dedicated track, which, combined with the use of high-capacity rolling stock, will increase the tram's carrying capacity. It will exceed the capacity of trolleybuses by three times, significantly improving the transport situation in the city.
