Bishkek City Hall: The removal of bushes is part of the new design code of the capital

Improvement of central streets based on Chuy Avenue

Vice Mayor Ramiz Aliyev announced plans to remove bushes from the streets, which is part of the new design code for the city of Bishkek.

According to him, the authorities intend to improve all central streets, aiming for them to resemble Chuy Avenue. This involves the absence of barriers, fences, and bushes, leaving only lawns and flowerbeds under the trees.

It should be noted that ecologists and urbanists have repeatedly emphasized the importance of bushes in the urban ecosystem, as they help reduce air pollution and add aesthetic value to streets overloaded with traffic and buildings.

Nevertheless, city authorities insist on creating "open spaces." In this regard, trolleybuses along with their wires and poles have been removed from the capital.
