The autoclave was installed back in 1996
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva raised the issue of a serious problem concerning the operation of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health in Bishkek. She noted that the old autoclave, intended for sterilizing medical instruments, equipment, and materials, frequently breaks down.
Every day, more than a hundred items need to be sterilized, and in the event of a breakdown of the autoclave, all of this has to be transported for sterilization to Maternity Hospital No. 6 using an ambulance.
Sadyrbaeva also emphasized that instruments intended for newborns should not be processed together with those used in the purulent department and other departments with infectious diseases. Such mixing violates sanitary standards and jeopardizes patient safety.
