The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the TSARKA Center for Cybersecurity Development and Digital Innovations have announced the launch of a new project aimed at protecting citizens from financial fraud. This was reported in a press release from the agency.
A memorandum was signed as part of the cooperation.
This initiative is based on the successful international experience demonstrated by countries such as Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. An important element of the project is the use of a "visual pause": setting up models of police officers near ATMs, which helps reduce the psychological pressure from fraudsters. This allows people to stop, rethink the situation, and make more informed decisions.
According to global practices, such measures can reduce the level of financial crimes by 40%. TSARKA and the Ministry of Internal Affairs aim to provide preventive protection for the financial security of citizens within the framework of this project.
