The Kyrgyz Republic has launched a phased program for replacing indefinite driver's licenses of the old format.
According to information from "Unaa," a transitional period has been established for the convenience of citizens, during which old licenses remain valid within the country. However, after this period, the licenses will become invalid and must be replaced with new ones.
The reason for the replacement is that the old licenses do not have a digital format, are not accepted in a number of countries, and also contain outdated photographs and insufficient security features, which complicates identity verification and creates risks of abuse. The new licenses comply with modern international standards and provide a higher level of protection.
To facilitate the process of replacing indefinite licenses, the government has implemented a number of simplifications:
* the requirement to provide a medical certificate of form 083 has been canceled;
* it is possible to replace licenses through the online system "Tündük";
* the procedure for obtaining the service has been simplified, allowing citizens to avoid haste and additional costs.
Citizens are advised to take advantage of the simplified conditions in advance and transition to new licenses in the established manner.
Those whose licenses are not digitized and not registered in the "Tündük" system should visit the relevant branches to replace their documents.
For license holders displayed in the "Tündük" system, it is recommended to carry out the replacement in an online format, without the need to visit branches.
