The official clarified whether document updates are required
As reported by Boobek Salimzhanov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, holders of lifelong driver's licenses can continue to use them without any restrictions if they do not plan to travel abroad.
The response to citizens' questions about the need for urgent document replacement was provided by the official, as government institutions emphasize that the replacement of licenses is voluntary.
“Drivers with lifelong licenses can confidently use them. Updating licenses with a specified expiration date is mandatory only for those who intend to travel outside the country, which is related to international norms. The previous licenses remain valid within the territory of Kyrgyzstan,” Salimzhanov noted.
