In Karakol, there is an increase in the number of drivers seeking to undergo a medical examination due to the introduction of free replacement of indefinite driver's licenses.

According to a statement from the presidential administration, free replacement of indefinite driver's licenses is available in Kyrgyzstan from January 15 to February 15.

Previously, indefinite licenses were abolished, and now licenses are issued for a period of 10 years.

In light of these changes, many drivers have begun to prepare for the replacement of their licenses and to undergo medical examinations. As reported by a Turmush correspondent, there has been a significant increase in the number of people seeking a form 083 certificate at the regional Family Medicine Center (FMC).

The head of the FMC, Beyshekan Zhaylymyshova, noted that the flow of patients has increased, and to cope with the increased workload, doctors have extended their working hours and switched to an intensified work schedule. “After the winter holidays, there has been a significant influx of people wishing to obtain a medical certificate 083. Because of this, it is not possible to examine everyone in one day. We also accept regular patients, so specialists must pay attention to them as well. Doctors sometimes work without a lunch break and stay late after their shifts to conduct medical examinations,” she reported.

As part of the digitalization process, drivers first register in room 409 of the center, where their height and weight are measured, and then receive referrals to specialists. Mandatory examinations include visits to an ophthalmologist, ENT specialist, neurologist, psychiatrist, surgeon, and dermatologist, as well as fluorography and visits to other doctors. “Some received indefinite licenses more than 20 years ago, and during this time their health may have changed. People need to understand that they cannot rush doctors with requests for 'just give me the certificate.' It is issued only after a full examination. For example, the result of fluorography is known only the next day. The document is issued only after the person's health is confirmed by all doctors,” she explained.

If previously doctors could examine only 10 patients a day, that number has now increased to 30. The management also added that lists are being compiled for each day. In light of the sanitary and epidemiological situation, citizens are reminded to observe safety measures, such as wearing masks.
