The license of the company LLC "Rikha" has been revoked. Sultan Akhmatov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, announced this during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on January 19.

Deputy Ulan Primov expressed concern that although many halal products are produced in the country, citizens cannot be sure of their quality. He emphasized the need to monitor products at all stages—from production to sale.

Akhmatov added: "There was a case where a product labeled as halal contained pork. You know this company 'Rikha.' It did not pass accreditation properly, and as a result, the license was revoked."

Also, Almaz Tairbekov, head of the Halal Industry Development Center, noted that laboratories operating under the veterinary inspection of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry are capable of detecting DNA not only from pork but also from other animals, such as dogs and donkeys.

He clarified that such laboratories are located in Bishkek and Osh and have undergone the necessary accreditation, and all products are subject to their control.
