At a roundtable meeting, the management of "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan" met with the head of the Union of Builders of Kyrgyzstan and representatives of construction companies. The main topic of discussion was construction standards, specifically SN KR 42-01:2020 "Design of Gas Supply Systems," which were approved in 2021 by the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, and Housing and Communal Services.

According to these standards, the installation of domestic gas meters (DGM) is permitted in kitchens, individual corridors, loggias, and even in common areas such as stairwells and lobbies. Previously, DGMs were only installed in apartments, which created difficulties in accounting and processing data during gas leaks.

The Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance of "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan" LLC, Arzymat Aldayev, stated: "In the capital, there are 4,500 apartments whose owners do not report gas readings. Our inspectors have been unable to access these apartments for two years, and previously their number was even higher. That is why we proposed installing meters in common areas." He added that starting in 2023, the company will begin implementing "smart" meters with telemetry that can transmit data independently.

Construction companies involved in multi-apartment buildings with individual heating have received recommendations to install meters with telemetry and thermal correction, as well as shut-off valves based on special software developed at "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan." If gas is used only for cooking, the installation of mechanical DGMs without telemetry and valves is permitted. In both cases, installation is possible both in apartments and in common areas. "We insist on the unification of meters. All old DGMs must be replaced with new smart devices with telemetry," emphasized Aldayev.

During the discussion, participants also touched on the technical standards for gas supply to multi-apartment buildings, the use of gas-consuming appliances, as well as safety issues related to gas boilers and equipment.

Cholponbek Akmatov, the chairman of the Union of Builders of the KR, expressed the readiness of construction companies to strictly adhere to gas supply standards. The meeting participants agreed on regular exchanges of opinions on construction and gasification issues.
