Initiators remind about the introduction of a new training format, extended to 10 months. However, for cadets who have completed training in driving schools, the minimum duration is only 4 months, after which they can obtain temporary national driver's licenses by passing qualifying exams.
If a cadet fails the exams, the temporary license will be revoked. In this case, they will have to undergo retraining in a state driving school, including the remaining six months of the training program.
According to the proposed draft, a permanent national license is issued if the candidate has no three or more registered traffic violations at the time of application.
Temporary licenses become invalid in the following cases:
- upon issuance of a permanent national driver's license;
- upon expiration;
- if conditions leading to the revocation of the license are discovered according to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic on road traffic.
The validity period of the temporary driver's license is one year from the date of its issuance. This period cannot be extended.When obtaining a national driver's license, the temporary license must be returned to the authorized body.
The sample of the temporary national driver's license will be approved by the State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers in case the resolution is signed. It can be issued in both paper and electronic formats through an automated information system.
