

A meeting was held in Bishkek, where the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, Muradil Jumadilde uulu, and the Head of the Europe and Central Asia Sector of the International Labour Organization, Sergius Glovatskas, signed a plan for joint activities.
According to information provided by the Federation of Trade Unions, this document includes several initiatives aimed at developing social and labor relations in the country, protecting workers' rights, promoting decent work, and strengthening the positions of trade unions in society.
Muradil Jumadilde uulu noted that this document opens new horizons for the progress of the trade union movement in Kyrgyzstan.
“Cooperation with the ILO is of great importance to us. The signed plan will improve the protection of workers' labor rights, expand the capabilities of trade unions, and implement advanced international practices,” he added.
According to him, joint initiatives will help strengthen social justice and enhance the protection of workers' rights.
Sergius Glovatskas, in turn, emphasized the significance of the partnership with Kyrgyzstan and expressed readiness for further cooperation.
“We highly value our cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. The signed plan is aimed at implementing the principles of decent work, improving social dialogue, and supporting sustainable labor market development,” he noted.
During the meeting, current issues of labor relations, the role of trade unions in modern society, and opportunities for further interaction were also discussed.
The cooperation plan provides for the exchange of international experience, the organization of training programs and seminars, the enhancement of the capacity of trade union organizations, and the support for the development of social dialogue between government bodies, employers, and workers.
