Kyrgyzstan and Japan Discussed the Early Warning System for Earthquakes

The meeting between Kanatbek Chynybaev, the Minister of Emergency Situations, and Hirano Ryuichi, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic, took place to discuss important issues.

At this meeting, according to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the focus was on developing joint initiatives to reduce the risks of natural disasters, as well as improving the ministry's capabilities and implementing modern early warning technologies.

Particular attention was given to creating an effective earthquake early warning system that would allow for timely information to be provided to the citizens of Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries in Central Asia about potential natural threats.

The Japanese delegation expressed its readiness to support this initiative and consider the possibility of implementing joint projects in this area.

The parties also emphasized the successes achieved within the framework of previously implemented projects aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and minimizing risks associated with natural disasters.
