At the award ceremony for the international "Eurasia" prize held on October 29 in Moscow, Kyrgyzstan presented a united team. At first glance, this may seem like a common occurrence: one country, one people, one team. However, reality is not always so, especially in light of recent conflicts.
For example, Moldova. Not long ago, this country was part of a single state, but now it is divided into three teams: representatives from Moldova itself, Transnistria, and Gagauzia. Despite similarities in clothing and language, these groups disassociate from each other, highlighting the lack of unity and commonality.
Kyrgyzstan could also face a similar fate, considering that for a long time various forces have tried to sow discord between the North and the South. This could lead not only to a split but also to a real war.
However, fortunately, this did not happen. And it will not happen as long as the current authorities maintain control over the situation, despite criticism.
President Sadyr Japarov noted that significant changes have occurred in the country over the years of independence, some of which threatened the unity of the people. He emphasized that Colonel General Tashiev, being on the front lines, played a key role in preventing conflicts and reconciling various groups of the population. Japarov added that Tashiev's efforts to strengthen national security and reform law enforcement should not be forgotten.
Today, even his opponents acknowledge that thanks to the actions of Japarov and Tashiev, the country managed to avoid catastrophe and begin a slow but steady process of recovery.
The famous phrase voiced by many in Moscow: "Kyrgyzstan is lucky to have Tashiev." Representatives from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan sincerely admire the work of the head of the State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan. In just a few years, he has managed to resolve border issues and establish good neighborly relations between Kyrgyz, Uzbeks, and Tajiks, something no neighboring country has achieved in three decades.
Recently, General Tashiev announced the possible cancellation of border control between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. While many countries face disintegration and conflicts, Tashiev demonstrates how to unite the peoples and states of Central Asia, inviting his foreign colleagues to cooperate.
