The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced the suspension of the export ban on key metals used in semiconductor production in the United States until November 27, 2026.

In its statement, the ministry indicated that it is temporarily lifting restrictions on the export of gallium, germanium, antimony, and other superhard materials. This decision marks the first significant step towards improving relations between Beijing and Washington amid an escalating trade conflict, according to information from RIA Novosti.

The document from the ministry states: "From today until November 27, 2026, the second paragraph of notification No. 46 from 2024, concerning enhanced control over the export of dual-use goods to the United States, will be suspended."

It is worth noting that previously, U.S. President Donald Trump proposed an initiative to diversify the procurement of strategic minerals from Central Asian countries in response to China's dominance in this area.
