On November 26, a meeting of the defense ministers of the CSTO member states took place, during which the prospects for cooperation within the organization were discussed. This was reported by Viktor Khrenin, the Minister of Defense of Belarus.
He emphasized that the results of joint work had been summarized.
“We have agreed on a number of activities that are now included in the interaction plans between the defense ministries and signed by all ministries,” he added.
Responding to questions about the loss of significance of the CSTO, Khrenin expressed bewilderment, stating that “this is nonsense.”
“This opinion comes from short-sighted people. The CSTO still possesses its strength. In Kazakhstan in 2022, we demonstrated our ability to respond promptly to serious challenges aimed at destabilizing countries from within,” the minister emphasized.
