According to the agreements reached between the countries, the Hungarian side provides 200 places, distributed as follows:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) and one-tier master's degree (OTM) — 130 places;
- Master's degree (MA/MSc) — 50 places;
- Doctorate (PhD/DLA) — 20 places.
Citizens of Kyrgyzstan who are 18 years old by August 31, 2026, can participate in the competition.
Documents must be submitted through two online portals:
For the Hungarian system, the deadline is January 15, 2026, at 14:00 (CET), via the link: https://apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu
For the Kyrgyz system — by 18:00 (GMT+6) on January 15, 2026, through the portal: https://student.edu.gov.kg/
Each application will undergo a technical review. Documents submitted incompletely or by individuals under 18 years old will be rejected.
In the case of a tie in scores, additional achievements of candidates, such as academic, scientific, or social successes, may be taken into account.
Students studying for a bachelor's degree, master's degree, and one-tier master's degree are required to take the course "Hungarian Language as a Foreign Language" in the first year of study and pass a final exam.
Program scholarship recipients will receive:
- Free education:
- full exemption from tuition fees;
- Monthly scholarship: 43,700 forints for bachelor's, one-tier master's, and master's programs; for doctorate — 140,000 forints in the first phase (4 semesters) and 180,000 forints in the second phase (4 semesters);
- Housing allowance:
- free accommodation in a dormitory (if available) or 40,000 forints/month for housing rent;
- Health insurance:
- medical services in accordance with Hungarian legislation;
- additional insurance up to 65,000 forints per year.
