Deputy Tabyldy Muratbekov asked whether the competition for the title of "most green city" and "most green village" had been conducted after the relevant resolution was adopted.
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision Almaz Musaev responded that such competitions have not yet taken place. He added that last year the ministry organized the "Clean City" and "Clean Village" competitions, and this year the "Green City" and "Green Village" competitions are planned.
Muratbekov emphasized that although the resolution was adopted back in 2022, its provisions have still not been implemented.
Furthermore, the deputy raised the issue of supporting environmental activists who voluntarily participate in greening and other ecological initiatives. He cited the "Zhasyl Dem" campaign, which took place in 2025 in the Kegetin Gorge of the Chui region at the initiative of activists.
The deputy minister noted that the agency supports such initiatives. He reported that schoolchildren and students actively participate in environmental campaigns, and the most active participants receive certificates and other forms of recognition. International donors also provide assistance.
Musaev added that by June 5, on World Environment Day, the ministry is preparing awards in several categories, including "best ecologist," "best specialist," and "best partner."
The deputy also suggested introducing awards for public activists and volunteers who participate in greening and environmental campaigns without expecting material rewards. He believes that state certificates and badges can serve as additional support for such initiatives.
