At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Agricultural Policy on March 16, the issue of the state of greening in the "Yntymak" park in Bishkek was raised.

Deputy Azizbek Tursunbaev expressed dissatisfaction with the chaotic planting of trees, noting that they are unable to provide sufficient shade for visitors. "The trees are of small height, only five to seven meters. How can people enjoy their rest without shade? Look at the parks in other countries," he emphasized.

In response, Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Ramiz Aliyev stated that the city administration was guided by the opinions of specialists in the process of selecting trees. Official conclusions were obtained from the forestry department, the Academy of Sciences, and the Botanical Garden.

According to him, it is recommended to plant seven species of deciduous trees in Bishkek, among which linden, maple, and hybrid poplar can be highlighted. Aliyev added that a sufficient number of trees have already been planted in the "Yntymak" park, so new plantings are temporarily suspended.

He also acknowledged that some trees may have been planted without a clear system, as many residents and organizations previously suggested their ideas for greening this particular park.

The deputy called for more attention to be paid to the care of the planted trees and for a more thoughtful approach to planning the greening of urban spaces.
