As part of this project, a tire recycling plant has been launched, located in the well-known industrial zone of Tokmok. During Soviet times, large enterprises operated here, providing local residents with jobs. Currently, the industrial zone is beginning to revive thanks to the efforts of local authorities and entrepreneurs striving to open new productions.

The plant specializes in recycling large tires used in heavy machinery, such as construction, quarry, and agricultural equipment. From non-repairable car tires, the enterprise produces rubber crumb, which is then used to create rubber tiles, mats, and safe surfaces for children's and sports playgrounds.

Additionally, car tires are being refurbished here, which brings economic benefits. The first batch of refurbished large tires has already been installed on a Caterpillar 789C dump truck and is currently undergoing testing at the Kumtor mine.

Recently, the plant received a license to accept car tires from legal entities. This means that companies like KAZ Minerals PLC, which is developing the Bozymchak deposit, and "Alliance Altyn," which is mining gold at the Jerooy deposit, will be able to dispose of unwanted tires on a paid basis. Municipal transport enterprises and other companies that actively use freight transport should also follow this example.

Now that we have the opportunity to recycle used tires instead of storing them, it is important to take action. Everyone, especially managers of enterprises where tires accumulate, should understand that they do not decompose in nature and can negatively impact the environment by polluting soil and water.

It is necessary to stop accumulating unnecessary car tires, which become a source of waste and harm the ecology. Previously, there was no way to recycle them, but now the plant in Tokmok is capable of processing up to 10,000 tons of tires per year, allowing us to get rid of unnecessary ballast.

Recycling is the optimal solution that will help free up production areas from unnecessary items. There is no longer a need to use part of the territory for tire storage or, worse, to throw them into nature. "Kumtor Gold Company" created this plant to give companies the opportunity to dispose of old tires and contribute to environmental protection.

The tire recycling plant is a unique enterprise, unmatched in Central Asia. Our country has the advantage of such production, and each of us should strive to increase the level of waste recycling, including household and industrial waste. The plant helps to achieve these important goals. Join the efforts to protect the ecology!
