
Washington is intensifying efforts to diversify trade ties in a key region
Sergio Gor, the U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, is arriving in Kyrgyzstan for an official visit that will last four days, at the invitation of the authorities in Bishkek.
The press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Askat Alagozov, confirmed that Gor's agenda includes a meeting with President Sadyr Japarov.
The highlight of the visit will be the American diplomat's participation in the second dialogue forum "B5+1," which will focus on "Facilitating Economic Cooperation between Central Asia and the USA."
The forum, scheduled for February 4-5 in Bishkek, will be dedicated to efforts to strengthen economic interaction among the countries. This mission continues Washington's course to diversify trade relations in this strategically important region.
