According to the regulator's data, by 2025, 114.1 thousand QR codes were installed in trade and service enterprises, which is 95.3% more compared to the previous year.
Over the year, the main operator conducted 525.1 million transactions totaling 908.6 billion soms. This corresponds to an 8-fold increase in the number of operations and a 10-fold increase in volume compared to 2024.
Kyrgyzstan remains the only country in Central Asia where inter-system integration of various payment systems is carried out based on the national standard for QR codes. The ELQR system involves 20 commercial banks and 14 payment organizations.
The National Bank noted that the measures implemented in 2025 were an important step towards creating a modern cashless infrastructure and laid the groundwork for further development of the fast payment system. Work in this area will continue.
