A financial and investment zone called "Tamchi" is planned to be built on the shores of Issyk-Kul. This information was announced by government representatives.
During the capsule-laying ceremony dedicated to this project, the Chairman of the Government of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, was present.
In his speech, he emphasized that "Tamchi" will become an important element for the country's economic progress and will also help create a new structure for the investment climate. The project will combine international investments, fintech and IT initiatives, as well as modern logistics solutions, relying on the region's capabilities and international experience.
"We are creating a platform with clear, stable, and competitive conditions. The SFIT 'Tamchi' will be an international center that attracts investments, technologies, and ensures the creation of thousands of new jobs," Kasymaliev emphasized.
Key characteristics of the "Tamchi" project:
• Gradual implementation of the construction of office buildings, residential complexes, and tourist facilities with a total area of over 470,000 square meters by 2035.
• The territory will be divided into zones for business, logistics, and recreation.
• All residents will receive tax benefits for up to 49 years.
• Free movement of capital, a flexible currency regime, and the possibility of 100% foreign participation will be provided.
• An independent international center for dispute resolution based on English law principles will be established.
• It is expected that by 2035, the annual flow of tourists will reach 90,000 people on an area of over 100 hectares.
