Agricultural products of Kyrgyzstan conquer the markets of more than 80 countries of the world


At the forum "Agrodialog," the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, presented impressive data on the development of the agricultural sector and future plans for the industrialization of agriculture. By the end of 2025, the volume of agricultural production is expected to reach 459.7 billion soms, which is 62.9 billion soms more than the previous year.

Significant growth is observed in the processing industry, where the output amounted to 104.7 billion soms, corresponding to a growth rate of 130.1%. Kyrgyzstan currently exports more than 60 types of agricultural products to 80 countries, successfully meeting domestic needs in 6 out of 9 key food categories.

As part of its strategy, the government aims to significantly improve the deep processing of raw materials. Currently, this indicator stands at about 7%, but it is planned to increase it to 25% by 2030 and to 50% by 2040. To achieve this goal, 385 new processing enterprises are planned to be opened in the country by 2030, with 75 of them starting operations as early as 2026.

The foundation for the sector's development will be the strengthening of the material and technical base in seed production and breeding livestock, the implementation of an agro-cluster system, and the effective use of preferential loans. Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of a scientific approach and the creation of a continuous education system for farmers, which will allow for the modernization of the agricultural sector and transform it into a high-tech industry of the economy.
