According to him, some citizens may hide the number of livestock and poultry, not understanding the importance of accounting. This is due to a misconception that the census results could lead to denials of social benefits or the introduction of additional taxes.
“Don’t worry, the agricultural census will not affect your social benefits,” the minister assured.
The aim of this campaign is to obtain accurate data on the livestock population in the country. This information is necessary for organizing timely vaccinations, proper planning of veterinary activities, and ensuring an adequate supply of vaccines.
It is worth noting that the livestock census will begin on March 20 and is conducted once every ten years at the national level. The last such census was conducted 22 years ago.
During the census, data will be collected based on the following criteria:
- the number and structure of agricultural enterprises and farms of all forms of ownership;
- types and volumes of agricultural production;
- availability of land, labor, and material resources;
- livestock and poultry numbers;
- features of farming practices and the level of mechanization.
