At a briefing in Bishkek, the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, Choro Seyitov, announced the Kyrgyz government's intention to attract Chinese companies to open new production facilities in the country.

He noted that amid rising tariffs on Chinese goods from the United States, Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries could benefit. "This will create opportunities for exporting Chinese goods to those countries where they have traditionally been supplied," he emphasized.

According to Seyitov, this year, Kyrgyzstan's economy is expected to grow by 8.5-8.6%. The authorities are counting on increased production in sectors such as building materials, rubber and plastic products, pharmaceuticals, chemical industry, and automotive manufacturing. "These areas are aimed at export and the development of deeper industrial cooperation," he added.
