Farmer's markets are held in Bishkek and regions of Kyrgyzstan

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the start of farmer's markets, which will take place in Bishkek and various regions of the country. Events involving local farmers and artisans are scheduled for specific days until June 2026.

According to the ministry, the goal of the markets is to supply the domestic market and offer quality food products at acceptable prices. Socially significant food items will be sold at prices below market rates.

The ministry also emphasized that there is currently no shortage of essential food products in the country, and reserves remain at a sufficient level.

Every Saturday and Sunday, markets are held in Bishkek in collaboration with the city administration. The organizers are the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the KR and the city municipality.

The main goal of these events is to curb price increases, ensure the availability of products for socially vulnerable groups, support local producers, and maintain stability in the domestic market.

The markets in Bishkek are held at the following locations:

- Turdakun Usubaliev Square (intersection of Ibraimov and Abdymomunov streets);

- Erkindik Boulevard (Pervomaisky district);

- Vostok-5 district.

The ministry also reminds market participants of the need to comply with certain requirements. Products must be of high quality, meet sanitary and hygienic standards, and prices should be below market rates. A confirming letter from the district agricultural management is also required.
