The gold and foreign exchange reserves of Kyrgyzstan have decreased

According to the National Bank, in February, Kyrgyzstan's gold and foreign exchange reserves decreased by $551.74 million, which is a 5.4% drop compared to January.

At the beginning of January, the total amount of reserves was $10 billion 177.18 million, and by February it had decreased to $9 billion 625.44 million.

The National Bank uses gold and foreign exchange reserves to stabilize the som's exchange rate by conducting currency interventions, as stated in the regulator's materials.
