According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the average nominal monthly salary in Kyrgyzstan in January 2026 reached 45,797 soms, which is 16.1% higher compared to the same period last year. This data is based on preliminary calculations by the National Statistical Committee.
Taking inflation into account, the real salary increased by 6.3%.
Salary growth was recorded in all sectors of the economy, including enterprises and organizations of various types of activities.
The most significant increase occurred in the administrative and support services sector, where salaries rose by 49.4%. In healthcare and social services, there was a growth of 35.8%, and in the electricity, gas, and steam supply sector — by 30.5%.
Additionally, in professional, scientific, and technical activities, salaries increased by 27.8%, in real estate transactions — by 26.5%, and in agriculture, forestry, and fishing — by 25.3%.
The Ministry of Economy emphasizes that the increase in salaries is taking place against the backdrop of an overall positive trend in the country's economy.
