In 2026, a pilot project aimed at creating a meat cluster based on the industrial fattening of cattle will be launched in Bishkek and the Chui region. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Erlis Akunbekov.

The project aims to form a unified production and logistics chain covering all stages—from fattening to the sale of finished products. Participants in the meat cluster, including farmers and agribusiness entrepreneurs, will be able to count on preferential loans with low interest rates.

The total funding will amount to 1.5 billion soms. Preferential loans will be issued through state banks, as clarified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources. This project is considered one of the key steps for stabilizing prices in the food market.
