As part of the Diplomatic Service Workers' Day, the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, met with the staff of the international cooperation and protocol department, as well as representatives of the committee on international affairs, defense, security, and migration.
In his congratulatory speech, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy for Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy strategy. "The ratification and consideration of all international agreements are carried out precisely through the Jogorku Kenesh, so your work in preparing and legally supporting these documents is extremely significant," he noted.
Speaking about the foreign policy course, the Chairman stressed that Kyrgyzstan pursues a multi-vector policy and seeks active cooperation with neighboring countries and other international partners.
“To advance the country in modern conditions, it is necessary to build a constructive dialogue with other states based on mutual interests. An important aspect here is the use of parliamentary diplomacy in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among you are qualified specialists capable of both strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and representing our country on the international stage, which contributes to the development of dialogue between states,” added Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, presenting awards to those who have shown exceptional achievements in their work.
It is worth noting that Diplomatic Service Workers' Day is celebrated in Kyrgyzstan every year on October 24.
