Info gypsies are being put on notice: coaches in Kazakhstan will be required to confirm their qualifications

According to information from Orda.kz, coaches and business trainers will now be unable to carry out their activities without verified qualifications. Changes in legislation introduce restrictions on working without a certificate.
The Prime Minister also pointed out that coaches will be prohibited from spreading false information and engaging in misleading advertising. If services are offered without the necessary documents, such actions may be classified as fraud under Article 190 of the Criminal Code,
the Prime Minister reported.


The head of the government noted that international experience was taken into account when developing the amendments. In countries such as the USA, EU states, Japan, and Russia, the activities of coaches are regulated through professional standards and certification systems.


In collaboration with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a professional standard for coaching activities has been developed. This document is currently awaiting approval from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and includes nine areas:


A registry of certified coaches will be created based on the National Qualifications System on the platform career.enbek.kz. Training and certification, as well as inclusion in the registry, will be conducted by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Previously, Majilis deputy Aidos Sarym raised the issue of the mass emergence of pseudo-coaches and dubious practices on social media. He noted that such services are not cheap and called for increased control in this area, considering that both citizens and state companies spend money on these services.

Additionally, in Taldykorgan, the court ruled in favor of those harmed by a coach involved in tenders. According to the consumer rights protection committee, 18 people lost more than six million tenge due to fictitious training. The court ordered the full return of money to all participants in the case.
