In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a ceremony was held to open the new boiler house 'Bishkekselmash', attended by the city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev.
Speaking at the event, the mayor emphasized the importance of this facility for the city's residents.
“This boiler house will provide residents with reliable, economically efficient, and environmentally safe heating,” he noted.
Additionally, Junushaliev addressed the employees of 'Bishkekteploenergo', highlighting their contribution to the implementation of this project:
“Today we are launching an important facility for the city thanks to your hard work. I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of you.”
The boiler house, which was built in 1974 and is managed by MP 'Bishkekteploenergo', is undergoing phased modernization. The goal of this reconstruction is to reduce technical losses, improve the reliability of heating supply, and lower prices for thermal energy. Previously, losses reached 50%. The total cost of the project is about 206 million soms, of which 200 million are allocated from the Stabilization Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In the first phase of operation, the boiler house will provide heating and hot water to 13,000 subscribers.
Interestingly, the installation of the boilers was carried out by the employees of 'Bishkekteploenergo' themselves.
In the first phase, the installation of six gas boilers, each with a capacity of 10 MW, has been completed. After their launch, the cost of thermal energy will decrease from 6,679.78 to approximately 5,500 soms per Gcal, and with the connection of new subscribers, down to 5,000 soms per Gcal.
The second phase includes the installation of additional boilers and the expansion of heating networks, while the third phase involves the construction of a 100 MW cogeneration plant and a 110 kV substation.
According to the city administration, the reconstruction of the 'Bishkekselmash' boiler house will be a significant step towards modernizing Bishkek's heating supply system and improving its energy efficiency.
