The meeting was led by Adylbek Kasymaliev, who noted that science and innovative achievements play a crucial role in the sustainable socio-economic progress of the country, as well as in ensuring technological independence and security.
During the meeting, reports on the current state of the scientific field, existing challenges, and prospects for its further development were discussed. Participants also emphasized the need to improve the regulatory framework for the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition, the topic of increasing state support for geological research was raised as one of the key areas for economic growth and effective use of natural resources.
As a result of the meeting, decisions were made regarding the implementation of systemic measures to improve scientific activity. The Cabinet of Ministers is recommended to develop strategies to enhance efficiency, including the introduction of state procurement mechanisms, a gradual increase in funding for the scientific field, optimization of resource use, as well as modernization in geological science, strengthening human resources, and updating the material and technical base of scientific institutions.
