Bakyt Torobaev met with the IMF representative in Kyrgyzstan, Farid Talyshly

Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting with Farid Talyshly, the permanent representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the country. This information was announced by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the discussion, issues related to cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the IMF were addressed. The meeting participants emphasized the importance of the Fund's role in implementing structural reforms and the economic development of the country, as well as discussed opportunities for further strengthening cooperation.

According to the information, the large-scale reforms carried out in recent years have been highly appreciated by international rating agencies. These measures have contributed to stabilizing the business environment, supporting key sectors, modernizing infrastructure, and improving the investment climate.

Since its arrival in Kyrgyzstan over 30 years ago, the IMF has implemented 12 programs that have significantly impacted the economy, helped reduce poverty levels, and contributed to sustainable and inclusive growth.

It should be noted that over the past three years, the average economic growth rate of the country has been 9%. This success has been made possible by the effective actions of the government aimed at modernizing the economy, improving the investment climate and competitiveness, as well as implementing reforms in the public administration system.
