The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Industry received about 500 requests from citizens, as reported by Minister Bakyt Torobaev in an interview with the Kabar agency. According to him, this year there has been a 60% decrease in inquiries regarding the provision of clean drinking water and the construction of reservoirs.
The minister emphasized that all requests voiced at the IV People's Kurultai are reflected in their work plan. This includes projects for the construction of reservoirs, systems for providing clean drinking water, and sewage systems. He noted that these initiatives are long-term: their implementation will take from three to five years, as the development of project documentation for reservoirs can take up to two years. These projects require careful consideration of seismological, hydrological, ecological aspects, and issues related to emergencies.
Bakyt Torobaev also reminded that President Sadyr Japarov set the task of constructing 160 daily regulation basins (DRBs) and providing clean drinking water to about 600 villages. All these tasks are included in the state plans.
"As a result of last year's inquiries, 30% of the issues were fully resolved, and work is already underway for 60%," he added.
