The Mandatory Health Insurance Fund reminded that citizens with oncological diseases can expect free hospitalization for planned repeat surgery within a year after the first one. This means that patients will not incur additional costs for inpatient treatment during this period.
As clarified by the fund, no co-payment is charged for a number of medical services during inpatient treatment, which also applies to the initial hospitalization.
Among the services for which no additional payment is required, the following can be highlighted:
- doctor consultations;
- surgical interventions;
- anesthesia;
- care for postoperative wounds;
- laboratory and diagnostic studies in the institution.
