The Kyrgyz Scientific Center for Human Reproduction responded to rumors that emerged on social media regarding the placement of mothers in the corridors of the medical facility.

The Center's administration clarified that the photographs that caused public concern were taken in the summer of 2025, when the City Perinatal Center was undergoing repairs, which led to an increased burden on their institution.

As of today, the Center has expanded its postpartum department, added additional beds, and created all necessary conditions for the comfort of patients.

"Although the institution is designed for 80 beds, there are currently 106 women temporarily staying here. The tertiary-level center serves patients with complicated pregnancies and severe conditions from various regions of the country," the official statement noted.

The Center's director, Nurgul Shoonaeva, reported that in 2025, the number of births increased by a thousand compared to the previous year. All patients receive medical assistance, there are no refusals for hospitalization, and work is carried out around the clock.
