The press service of the Interior Ministry of the October District confirmed that a preliminary investigation has been initiated regarding her death.
“All necessary examinations have been appointed, and we will inform about the results later,” the official statement says.
“Aigul was an outstanding person—smart, beautiful, and brave. She dedicated her entire life to educating and saving others. The official conclusion states asphyxia as the cause of death. However, the circumstances that led to this remain unclear and raise many questions for our family. We knew her as a strong and resilient person who fought every day for the lives of children, working under difficult conditions. Could such a person have found herself in a situation that led to asphyxia?”—her relatives wrote on social media.
According to their information, a man named Duishon, her former partner, was with Aigul that night.
“According to him, she locked herself in the bathroom, and events occurred there that led to the tragedy. However, the details remain unclear, and we have many questions. Why was he next to her at that moment? Why, according to relatives, had she been threatened earlier? Why was he not detained for a thorough investigation of all circumstances? Recently, we learned that he might attempt to flee to Russia. We have reasonable fears that the truth may never be established, and no one will be held accountable… We are not drawing conclusions. We demand an objective, transparent, and independent investigation. Aigul deserves the truth. Her name should be honored and remembered. Society has the right to know what really happened,”—the family stated in their appeal.
