A criminal case has been initiated under Article 128, Part 1 "Driving to Suicide" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect is serviceman M.M., born in 2006, who is currently placed in a temporary detention facility in the city of Manas.
The Military Prosecutor's Office also reported the appointment of necessary examinations. A legal assessment of the actions of the employees of the Department of Security and Convoy of the State Penitentiary Service will be conducted, and investigative authorities are working to determine the possible involvement of other individuals in this incident.
It is worth noting that on January 5, an 18-year-old serviceman was found dead in correctional facility No. 10, located in the village of Bai-Munduz in the Bazar-Korgon district. He served in the battalion of the Department of Security and Convoy of the State Penitentiary Service. Preliminary data indicates that around 15:25, the soldier shot himself with his service weapon and died at the scene.
Officials from the department and representatives of law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene of the tragedy. The situation is being investigated by the Bazar-Korgon District Police Department and the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Jalal-Abad garrison.
