The Internal Affairs Department of the Chui region reported the initiation of a criminal case regarding the murder in connection with the incident that occurred on the outskirts of the village of Spartak.
This step, according to police representatives, will ensure a more thorough investigation of what happened.
On January 20, a burned silver Volkswagen Golf-3 station wagon was discovered at the specified location, inside of which were the bodies of a young man and a schoolgirl. It is reported that the man, whose remains were found, purchased this vehicle on January 11, and on the 13th he contacted an electrician to fix a problem with the left headlight. The specialist pointed out serious deficiencies in the vehicle's mechanics, such as exposed wires, the smell of gasoline, and smoke in the cabin, and strongly recommended avoiding further use of the car.
In addition, the Internal Affairs Department urged citizens to refrain from spreading false information and to rely only on official sources.
