The senior inspector of the department for the control of excise goods of the State Tax Service of the Lenin District of Bishkek, citizen Sh.U.U., was detained by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) on suspicion of abuse of official powers.
According to the agency, this individual actively provided paid consultations to accountants and entrepreneurs on issues related to the issuance of tax patents. Since 2024, he managed to earn over 600,000 soms for such services.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the inspector issued fake patents that were not registered in the unified taxpayer database, while appropriating the funds received.
On January 27, 2025, the suspect was arrested as part of a criminal case, and he was placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, additional investigative actions are ongoing to identify other possible accomplices.
