Specialists from the service uncovered corruption in the enrollment process
A corruption scheme related to the illegal enrollment of cadets in driving schools was discovered in the Batken region, as reported by the press service of the GKNB.
According to information from the committee, some driving school leaders, acting as part of an organized group, were conducting fictitious enrollment of citizens for training, while these individuals were not even present in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. To obtain illegal profits, enrollments were conducted remotely, without actual participation in theoretical and practical classes, with forged documents certifying course completion.
“As a result, a mechanism was created that allowed people, who had no knowledge of traffic rules and minimal driving skills, to come to the Kyrgyz Republic under the guise of formal ‘training’. They received certificates of course completion and, with the assistance of corrupt officials, successfully passed practical and theoretical exams, obtaining driver's licenses,” noted the GKNB.
Within the framework of the criminal case, searches were conducted at the locations, and the collected materials confirmed the results of the investigation. Work continues, including the annulment of driver's licenses issued under this scheme.
