According to the press service of the capital's Department of Internal Affairs, a resident named D.B. reported to the police that on October 5, 2025, at around 18:00, he left his Kia Picanto in the yard on Togolok Moldu Street and then went to Karakol. When he returned home on October 9, 2025, he discovered that his car was missing.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (car theft).
The detained individual was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect, having taken possession of the car, sold it for 80,000 soms and spent the money on his needs. To date, the car has been found and added to the case as physical evidence.
Further operational measures are being taken to identify other participants in the crime, and it is being checked whether the detainee may be involved in similar cases.
